The Fiery Furnace
The king of Babylon created a huge statue, an idol of himself for the people to worship. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were taken away from their homes when they were young children. When the king made a law saying that everyone had to bow and worship the idol they refused.
These three men grew and become governors in the kingdom but they still obeyed their God. Because God said they should not bow to other Gods they refused. The king did not like that he had to follow his own law and throw men that he liked and trusted into the furnace. When the three men were inside the furnace they did not burn up. While walking around inside, there appeared a fourth figure. The king said that it appeared to be the Son of God inside the furnace with them.
