The Zone was made popular by Barry Sear’s collection of books. This plan promotes a balanced system of carbohydrate and protein consumption, in order to allow participants to eat the foods that they enjoy in moderation.
The diet consists of eating 5 times per day. 3 of these should be meals, while 2 should be snacks. Fats are recommended to follow a 30-40-30 system to maintain balance, and going more than 5 hours between meals is not allowed. The diet incorporates using your hand to measure various portion sizes, which is a very convenient technique!
