The Dukan Diet includes four different phases. The 1st phase consists of rapid weight loss as well, and it is known as, “The Attack Phase.” The 2nd phase is known as, “The Cruise Phase”, when participants are encouraged to slowly work their way to their “true weight”, which is classified as a realistic and healthy weight. At this phase, the diet alternates from Natural Protein Days (NP) and Protein and Vegetable days (PV).
Phase 3 of the Dukan Diet is referred to as, “The Consolidation Phase”, when you take time to relearn habits in order to not have history repeat itself. Finally, phase 4, “The Stabilization Phase”, in which you are only ordered to follow three specific steps: Walk 20 minutes per day, eat three tablespoons of oat bran each day, and have one NP day each week.
