John Wayne Gacy
With a rap sheet covering the murders of 33 young boys and men, John Wayne Gacy’s reign of terror struck fear into the hearts of both men and mothers alike. One of the most proliferate serial killers in history, Gacy was an extremely violent sexual sadist with sexual identity issues. He took out his confusion and conflict on each of the males he killed, eventually burying them under his house.
Making matters even creepier, he often dressed as a clown and went by the alias, “Pogo the Clown,” for children’s parties and fundraising events. The FBI played a lesser role in this case, but was still integral to ensuring that he was awarded the sentence he deserved. After providing assistance to the Illinois Police Department, Gacy was arrested and eventually confessed to all murders.
