Long Beach
Many people only know of Long Beach from Snoop Dogg songs or from seeing reports of violence in the news. This coastal area has long been known for violence and gang wars. There were 34 homicides in Long Beach, California in 2013.
The violence isn’t showing any signs of stopping. In February 2015, a man and four teens were arrested in a shooting that wounded five people. Police say this was a gang related drive by shooting.
