You Must Love Your Work
New York City seems to be moving 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may find yourself wondering whether anyone ever sleeps, but it’s less likely that no one sleeps, and more that everyone works quite a bit. If you are going to be devoting so much time to your work, it’s important that you love what you do.
NYC never stops, and the people who live there don’t either. You may find bars and restaurants packed on a Tuesday night simply because so many people are working ten-hour days and need to unwind. You should expect to work hard in New York City. If you want to make it there, you have to work for it, and you can’t expect it to be easy especially if you are new to the big city life.
