Living Space is Limited
Realtor speak for “cozy” in New York City, may mean you are going to shower in your sink, or that you will be eating breakfast in your bed. As mentioned, space is limited, and this includes the space you are allotted in your living quarters.
Apartment living is popular in NYC, but the spaces are often exceptionally tight, so it is probably best to not plan on bringing four bedrooms worth of furniture when you are moving, unless you can afford the larger living spaces. Because of this, you do have to pay attention to realtors, especially when they refer to a place as cozy or quaint. This could mean it is even smaller than the apartments you are used to.
