It’s Crowded
One thing you’ll notice right away is that many areas of New York City are especially crowded. Keep in mind that NYC is one of the most populated cities in the entire world, so if you don’t care for being around crowds of people, this may not be the city for you.
It’s possible that you will find your quiet areas, but eventually you will have to maneuver crowds of people at an event, while shopping, or just going out. New York City is not the city to live in if you don’t like being around people.
