6633 Ultra

Denoting the latitude in degrees and minutes, the name of the races tells you exactly what you are getting yourself into. Held in the brutal arctic circle, it claims title to the toughest, coldest, harshest marathon in the world. Beginning in Eagle Plains, you run through Yukon and into the banks of the Arctic Ocean during your trail run.

The 6633 Ultra is a nonstop race of either 120 or 350 miles, and runners carry or pull sleds with their supplies along the way. Ice bridges, “Hurricane Alley”, and some of the harshest weather conditions are crossed during this trail run. Only a handful of people have completed the race, and not many more have tried to compete in this marathon.
