Death and Resurrection of Jesus
The death and later resurrection of Jesus teaches, again, that God has the power to save those who have absolute faith in him. It also details what happens after Jesus is sacrificed for everyone’s sin. When the Gentiles crucified him for being a heretic, he died a terrible death on the cross.
Jesus was then laid to rest in a tomb sealed with an extremely heavy stone that could be moved by no man. As prophesied, he rose from the tomb into eternal life after just three days. His resurrection served to teach that all faithful Christians will rise into eternal life after death. Through both the sacrifice and the death afterward, the sins of the world were wiped clean. This allowed for people to have a second chance at following the Lord fully.
