As a prominent state in the south, South Carolina is known for its great living on lower salaries. Homes in South Carolina have a median price of around $150,000, making them much more affordable than other states. Along the same lines of the good pricing structure is the gas in South Carolina. Even if all other things were equal, the gas prices here could be a determining factor when it comes to choosing where you want to live or which state you want to travel through.
During the lowering of gas prices, South Carolina has leveled out in around the $2.20s for regular gas. Diesel gas and premium gas are in the upper $2 region, but are more affordable than in many other states. Filling up a small tank in South Carolina will cost less than many surrounding states.
