Location of the Moon, Sun, and Stars
The location of specific parts of the solar system are considered errors in the Bible because they don’t match up to the data and information we now have. Although it is debated how far long ago the Bible was written – from over a thousand years to over three thousand years, it’s safe to say the information we have today regarding our solar system is much more advanced and not information the writers would have had access to.
Still, it is known that the moon, sun, and stars, are strategically located in our galaxy. We know this because of science and astronomy; however, the facts presented in the Bible are inconsistent with what we know today and don’t follow the rules of science in the description of where these things are located. The description of a firmament, or a “dome” as is presented in the Bible, is pure conjecture, as we do not know whether or not this exists.
