Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove
This beach has had a problem with water quality for almost ten years. Much of the pollution issue is a direct result of a storm drain system in Lover’s Point that is actually contaminated with human sewage. The City of Pacific Grove, however, is working on repairing damaged storm drains and sewer pipes in order to correct the pollution problem.
Besides the water though, this beach’s crowded locale often deters visitors from staying too long. It is fairly well-known that the beach is contaminated with sewage, and it isn’t uncommon to come across several warnings about the beach’s pollution levels.
