Punishment
In Revelation 21:8, the passage discusses thieves and stealing, and how it is an immoral act. However, it goes on to discuss the punishment which thieves should receive, which goes against what we view as “normal” today.
From punishing by taking away food, burning their land, and destroying all humanly possessions which belong to the thief. Although it does detail how thieves should be punished, the manner in which punishment is delivered, is intended to cripple the thief, as well as their children, spouse, and family.
