This popular HBO series has been one of the most viewed shows on TV now for five seasons. Although the main characters seem to be killed off each season, viewers continue to tune in to see new emerging characters come to life and captivate the fans. Based on the books of the same title, Game of Thrones is surely the most viewed, and the top spot as the most popular show on TV today. This television series has already completed four seasons with the fifth planned for April of 2015.
Although there are hundreds of shows on television today, and many of them are extremely popular, the top shows continue to captivate their audience and fans, season after season. Most of these shows have been on air for at least three seasons, and as the seasons go on, they seem to gain more traction and popularity. The combination of great writing, a great cast, and the right story line not only go a long way in keeping a show running, but in also getting the fans to return each week to see what their favorite characters are up to.
