With advanced technology, selenography (the study of the surface and the features of the Moon), and research involved in understanding how our solar system works, many questions have been answered and explained regarding the light of the Moon. At times, the light of the Moon can be so clear that it may appear as its own bulb in the sky.
The Book of Genesis, however, makes the error of describing the Moon as a light. It is explained in the Bible, that God created two lights in the sky, but, science tells us that the Moon is not a light, but rather a reflection of the sun. The Moon is actually a mirror. It is an error to claim the moon as any form of light, as we know it to be a star in our galaxy. Therefore, the Bible’s claim that we have two altering lights, at night and during the day, is a scientific error in the Bible as well.
