Over the years there have been many explanations for transition from day to night, and for those who rely exclusively on science, it can be explained suitably with the earth’s rotation and seasonal changes. The explanation in the Bible, however, is quite different, and to some, inconsistent.
It is said that God created day and night on the first day of creation. However, the sun, moon, and stars, which are integral in the transition from day to night, were not created until the fourth day, according to the Bible. If this is the case, how would he, or anyone for that matter, have been able to tell the difference or the hour of the day? With this major mistake in the Bible, do we question how the Earth was really formed, or is it just a misprint in the book itself?
