Franklin Castle
With a spooky exterior boasting a corner tower and gargoyles, the Franklin Castle cuts a very spooky shape against the night sky. It’s not surprising to find out that it is also known as the most haunted house in all of Ohio. This is usually attributed to the fact that four of the owner’s children died in the house. The owner himself was also a suspected murderer who is said to have killed his niece in a hidden passage.
If all of that isn’t bad enough, legend also says that he murdered his mistress in the tower attached to the castle. People who visit or pass by say they can see ghosts of the victims in the windows, particularly in the tower window itself. Even the Universal Christian Church has claimed to have experienced ghostly encounters while on the premises.
