This city in Florida was also not included on the nation’s top 100 of violent crimes. However, it still ranks as a city in Florida with a large number of violent crimes. According to Neighborhood Scout, approximately 322 violent crimes occur annually in Panama City.
Panama City has a CI of 2% and three murders yearly, along with 244 assaults. The city has been ranked at #4 when it comes to the most dangerous cities in Florida. Residents and visitors face a 1 in 115 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime in Panama City. In the summer of 2014, residents were on high alert due to a string of murders. Many new residents and vacationers are surprised by the high crime rates in Panama City due to its small size.
