With a population of over 62,000, Homestead, Florida isn’t a city often associated with violent crime. Homestead has a crime rate of approximately 68 for every 1,000 residents.
2012 studies show that violent crimes happen to 1,450 individuals out of 100,000, ranking Homestead as one of Florida’s most dangerous cities. Alarmingly, 1 out of 15 Homestead residents are likely to become a victim of a crime, including various assaults and shootings.
