Pensacola is located in Escambia County, which was rated as the #1 most violent county in the state of Florida. Pensacola is also ranked as sixth in the most dangerous cities in Florida. Recently, there was an alarming trend of young females going missing or turning up murdered, raising the public’s concern for an increasing number of violent crimes. Luckily, according to the Pensacola Police Department, violent crime was on the decline at the beginning of 2014.
Whether murder, attempted murder, assault, or shootings violent crime is a concern in the United States and many cities in Florida. Luckily, many of these locations are undergoing major renovations in order to improve their levels of safety to ensure the region’s security for its residents and tourists. With enhanced levels of law enforcement and more regulations regarding safety, these areas are expected to continue decreasing, resulting in better violent crime ratings.
