Kelly Clarkson could be considered an American Idol veteran, having won the very first episode of American Idol and going on to become highly successful in the music industry. She has maintained her popularity and success through the years as a singer, with 91 number one hits on the Billboard charts.
The winner from season one is the second most well known and best selling artist to leave the show. With her stint in pop, and her recent turn to country, she has done quite well for herself over the past fifteen years that she has been in the industry. With 13.453 million album copies sold, she has been nominated for 10 Grammy awards, and has won three of them. She recently released a new single in January of 2015 as well.
