Married couples cannot file for divorce under irreconcilable differences unless they both agree.
New York must not have been thinking clearly when they enacted this law. How is a couple supposed to agree, when their reason for divorce is disagreeing? It’s definitely a law that exhibits contradiction, and it is one that needs to be revised!
