He currently owns the company, Bloomberg LP, which is a financial data firm that’s made him a lot of money. Mr. Bloomberg was the 108th Mayor of New York City and held his office for three consecutive terms.
He started his career at the brokerage firm of Salomon Brothers before forming Bloomberg LP. He was also the Chairman of The Board of John Hopkins University from 1996 to 2001. He started out as a Democrat, but changed to Republican when he ran for office.
