You Don’t Have to Walk Them
This goes hand in hand with the benefit of cats using litter boxes and not needing you to be available constantly to make sure they are able to get outside. You also don’t have to walk cats. For the most part, cats are able to get the exercise they need walking around the house, in between naps.
Not just at 6 AM, but any time during the day. Your cat will not require as much exercise, they won’t drag you out in the dead of the winter, and they won’t wait by the door for you to take them out right when a thunderstorm is over you. They do not need you to take them on walks like a dog would, and they do not expect you to stop what you are doing in order to go out for a walk with them.
