They Show Affection
While many domesticated animals show affection in some way or another, cats show affection in a clear, calm way, that, at times, is a lot less intrusive than the ways that other animals, particularly dogs, show affection.
To show affection, a cat may rub against you, give a gentle head butt, or rub against your leg as a way to show they care for you or want you to pay attention to them. On the contrary, dogs seek approval more often throughout the day and also require continuous attention – at least more than cats require. Cats will seek you out when they see fit, so you aren’t always worried about them either.
