Compton
Compton, located in southern Los Angeles County, has a population total of just over 93,000 people. Compton is one of the oldest urban communities in the region and, in 1888, was the eighth city to incorporate. It is not surprising that Compton is considered one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S.
The danger in this city has actually been public through various pop culture references over the year. Numerous rappers hail from Compton, including Eazy-E, MC Ren, YG, N.W.A., DJ Quik, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Jeeves, The Game, Ice Cube, Tyga and Compton’s Most Wanted. The violent crime rate in the city is 14.13, making this tech city a dangerous area for individuals to visit.
