This award-winning book debuted as John Green’s first young adult novel and was published by Dutton Juvenile. In 2012, seven years after being released, Looking for Alaska made it onto the New York Times best seller list in Children’s Paperback, at number 10.

In this John Green classic Miles Halter leaves his Florida home in order to attend a prep school in Alabama, where he meets Alaska. The book takes us through their love story, which ultimately leads to the title character’s death. This popular young adult book sold a total of nearly 740,000 books during the 2014 calender year.
