Frozen
Probably no surprise to anyone, considering the enormous popularity of the movie, the book, Frozen, is among the top selling books of 2014. Between the box office, DVD, and Blu-ray sales, the movie was able to generate almost 2 billion dollars. Although the book did not make nearly as much as the movie, its sales placed the book on various best-selling books lists.
The book, based on the ever popular Disney movie, did just as well in books (although not exactly financially) as it did on the big screen for the major franchise. With nearly 785,000 paper back copies sold, the book version of Frozen actually knocked out a few other top contenders for the year. The huge success of the movie, likely led consumers to snatch up anything Frozen, including dolls and books.
