Final Fantasy VII
The Final Fantasy franchise is one of the most popular long-standing RPGs remaining on the market today. With incredibly complex storylines, musical scores created by famous Asian composers, and great replayability, it’s easy to become hooked and while away the hours playing.
With over 12 games currently available and an online version providing MMPORG access, there’s even a bit of variation on play style available. The seventh game in this series is widely considered to be the best, and the ninth game a close runner-up. Conversely, many people felt FF8 was simply too far of a divergence from canon to be enjoyable. The readers of the entertainment site IGN voted it the top RPG game of the century. This is easy to verify when learning that it has received seven Guinness World Records.
