Daytona Beach
Another vacation destination, especially for young Spring Breakers, Daytona Beach is also surprisingly at the top of Florida’s cities with the most violent crimes. According to Neighborhood Scout, this city ranks 33 among the nation’s top 100 most dangerous cities.
Daytona Beach has a Crime Index of 2%, with 12.85 crimes – murder, rape, robbery, and assault, occurring for every 1,000 residents – resulting in 801 of those crimes annually. According to a Movoto Real Estate study provided to News Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach came in as the 7th most dangerous small city in the entire United States. Though property and motor-vehicle theft are very prominent, violent crimes are also significantly high.
