When you say the name Kanye West, many people remember his rant during the MTV music awards. When Taylor Swift received the Best Female Video of the year award, Kanye stormed on stage, grabbed the mic from her while she was giving her thanks, and stated he thought Beyoncé should have received the award.
After the famous MTV rant, Kanye became a meme on the Internet due to his shoulder shrug and microphone grabbing. The President of the United States, Barack Obama, criticized Kanye when asked about this, calling him a “jackass”. Interestingly enough, Kanye has not stopped speaking his mind, typically going on rants during his concerts. He still has a love hate relationship with the paparazzi and media, and had to settle a case with a photographer whose camera he smashed.
