The Dark Knight
The movie, The Dark Knight, is largely remembered not only for Heath Ledger’s performance of the Joker, but for his death which occurred shortly after filming, as well. This 2008 movie is based on the DC Comics superhero Batman and followed Batman Begins, with the third part of the trilogy being completed with The Dark Knight Rises.
The makeup was stunning, the fight scenes were excellent, and the depiction of the underworld in NYC and Gotham, and how politics really does play a dirty role in the streets, is something which was perfectly depicted in the film. It is by far the best Batman film of the many which were produced, and the psychopathic Joker is a character we won’t forget.
