The Godfather
Although it is not the type of film everyone will enjoy, it is the type of film everyone knows about, and it is quite possibly one of the most iconic films in American history. A great cast, a twisted plot of a brother being in love with his sister, and the entire film being based around the mafia of the time, only showcases the different times we once lived in, and the world in which we live in today. The Godfather, created in 1972, is the first part of the Godfather trilogy with the other two parts being just as popular and iconic as the first.
Most of these films have withstood the test of time, which is an indication of their greatness. With higher budgets today, great actors, more complex special effects, and new interesting plots, these movies will likely still continue to remain among the greatest films ever made, and the greatest films of all time. Regardless of the type of film you love, it is highly likely you have seen one or all of these films, and remain a fan of the great work which was done by the cast and the production teams on these films, even as the years pass and new movies debut.
