Kellie Pickler charmed viewers with her southern accent and voice early on as well. Many viewers found it easy to relate to and root for her “girl next door” type of personality. All of these features in connection with her natural quirkiness helped Pickler become an American Idol favorite.
Her quirky attitude not only won the judges hearts, but also those of the viewers who tuned in on a weekly basis to watch her. She was on season five of the show and ended up in sixth place. However, since American Idol, she has been on CMT quite often, she has won a few country music awards, and her record sales have topped other previous winners. She has sold 1.529 million records with her four released albums.
