9 Scariest Shark Encounters

San Jose

Eric Tarantino, a California surfer, was the lucky survivor of a major shark attack incident which occurred on the beaches in San Jose, back in 2011. The surfer’s board was totally destroyed, but this wasn’t the brunt of the injuries the surfer suffered from the 9-foot shark, suspected to be a great white.

After surfing for about 10 minutes, Tarantino was bitten in the neck, his arms, hands, and legs. He was saved by friends who pulled him from the water and stopped the bleeding. He was then airlifted to safety. Although no life threatening injuries were suffered, it was a scary incident nonetheless.
