Like people who live in nearly every U.S. state, there are certain stereotypes about those who live in Utah as well. Although not all of them are true, depending on who you ask, many of the stereotypes in the state are. When it comes to those who live in Utah, it is hard to deny that many residents fit at least one of the state’s well-known stereotypes.

Whether you are a local or just visiting, you might stumble upon many of these stereotypes, and can decide for yourself whether they are true, half true, or completely inaccurate. For those who live there, many activities and quirks are part of living in Utah, but for those not from the area, it can take some time to get used to.

Either way, most residents and visitors can agree that Utah is a beautiful state, full of natural beauty, culture, and technology. In 2012, Gallup rated the state the best in the U.S. to live in. Here are 10 of the most common features or stereotypes that Utah is known for.
