Get Your Story Straight
When you are at fault, the first thing most people do is panic. This is not a good idea. The police are going to show up, and the other driver will likely approach you. Keep cool and calm.
When the police arrive, make sure you are honest. They will ask what happened, how it happened, what you saw, and so forth. Make sure you give accurate details, but don’t admit to anything you aren’t sure of.
