You don’t want surprise fees at the end of the day. Some lawyers charge a flat fee and nothing more; others charge hourly plus court costs. Some will set up a payment plan that works with your budget.
Regardless of which fee structure you are most comfortable with as a client, make sure you understand it and are able to pay it. Ask questions and make sure they explain all of the specifics of filing bankruptcy.
