How Much is Covered
This goes back to knowing what you have in your policy and what is covered. Just as important is how much is covered. While furniture replacement might be included in your policy, if you have the priciest leather couches on the market, they might not be covered completely.
Most policies will harp on current market value. So, make sure you know this, and you are aware of the amount they will pay, especially if you have extremely pricey items in your home.
