The Woman in Charge
We don’t see to many shows where the leading character is a female; even fewer where that leading lady is African American. If you like powerful women and appreciate diversity in television, you will likely appreciate the many aspects included on Scandal that haven’t been featured on television in the past.
Not only does Olivia Pope hold the power in most situations, the entire show revolves around her, and the webs which she has tangled for the cast are often her responsibility. These situations include her romantic relationships, the relationships with those who work for her, and the relationship she has with her somewhat dysfunctional parents.
