They Groom Themselves
Dogs groom themselves, to a point. But there is only so much a dog can do to care for himself. Cats, on the other hand, can spend hours just grooming themselves – and without your assistance in most cases.
Sure, there is the occasional hair ball to clean up, but you don’t have to worry about grooming, giving them a shower every week, or taking them to the vet for a bath. Not only are cats less expensive to care for, but you don’t have to worry about lack of hygiene when it comes to your cats. Plus they are not going to stink up the house if they haven’t had a bath in a few weeks, or months.
