Newburgh
It is located along the banks of the Hudson River on the western side. It has a very long standing reputation of violence and gang problems. The city has been ranked safer than 5 percent of US cities and hence more dangerous than 95 percent of all cities in the US.
The city experienced a sudden rise in burglaries and robbery in 2012 that resulted to increase in both violent and property crimes. The police have tried to step up patrols in the most affected areas to reduce the crimes.
