In Coloma, you can see where the gold rush took place. In the Sierra Foothills, you can see and experience where the gold rush began, the South Fork river which was used to clean and transport, and you can take a tour of the different facilities which were used in order to mine gold. It is not only a place which changed California, but it was a turning point in the country’s history as well. If you love history, it is a must visit when in California.
