Hannibal Lecter, “The Silence of the Lambs”
Can someone who is intelligent and charming be a serial killer? In “The Silence of the Lambs”, the answer is yes. Hannibal Lecter is serving time in prison as the film opens, which is good because anyone can see how dangerous he would be if he were out among the public.
Some of Hannibal’s most disturbing scenes happen when he is only talking, which shows how diabolical a villain he is. Anthony Hopkins gives a flat-out scary performance of Hannibal Lecter, which earned a well-deserved Oscar for his efforts.
