Ask any serious basketball fan what they think of their favorite player, and they’re likely to tell you they consider them a hero. For some of the best, this is absolutely true. For Dwight Howard, it’s an absolute truth, and he proved this by donning a Superman costume for one of the event’s most historic dunks.
At the Slam Dunk Contest in 2008, he outdid himself both professionally and creatively. When it was his turn to dunk, he surprised the crowd by busting out a Superman costume and flying high through the air towards the net. The ball crashed down, scoring huge points with the crowd.
