Michael Jordan’s Shrug
Hailing back to 1992, this particular moment highlighted one of the main reasons Jordan was a top player throughout his entire career. Known for his casual attitude, he made basketball seem effortless as he floated across the court to sink dunk after dunk. But when it came time for the 1992 NBA finals, this attitude became startlingly clear.
During this particular game, Jordan had outdone himself. With score after score entering the net, the crowd followed him cheering and screaming their support. After landing one final shot, Jordan gave them what would later become a famous motion–he looked into the crowd and shrugged. This was his way of saying, “just doing my best,” as if being the best player in the world were no big deal.
