V-Crunches
One of the best ways to engage your core and sculpt away belly fat is to add V-crunches to your routine. This requires lying with your back on the floor, and combining the action of a crunch with a leg lift, thereby creating a “v” with your body. With V-crunches, you give your belly muscles twice the workout. Your abdominal muscles must remain engaged as you raise your back off the floor and bring your knees inward.
If you’re not strong enough to do a V-crunch, do a modified version of the exercise. Prop yourself up and lean back onto your arms, then lift your legs and move your knees in toward your chest. You’ll find that version to be a bit easier to do, and you can still work on your stomach.
