Orlando ended up 99 on Neighborhood Scout’s cities with the highest crime rates, which is at least better than 98 other cities in the nation.
The probability of being a victim of a violent crime in Orlando is a 1 in 109 chance. Orlando has been ranked as the 2nd most dangerous city in Florida, and has a Crime Index of only 2%. However, it is important to note that the local police challenged the report of Orlando being the 2nd dangerous city, but Neighborhood Scout reported 17 murders annually and a whopping 1,616 assaults, data based on crimes reported to the FBI.
