There are 70 crimes committed per 1,000 residents each year. Since 2007 Pensacola has seen its crime rate steadily increase. More often than not, the crimes that are committed in the city include thefts and burglaries. The city has also had its fair share of assaults, auto thefts and rapes. One major area of concern is the fact that 760 sex offenders have a registered address within Pensacola.
